Twenty five members of Newbury Twin Town Association enjoyed a summer ‘picnic’ at Shaw House on Friday 18th August.

Unfortunately the rains fell all morning so an outside blanket style picnic was impossible . Shaw House came to the rescue and offered the Chandos Dining Room for members to use and enjoy their picnics. This was followed by a very interesting talk by Sarah of the Shaw House team  giving a potted history of the ownership of Shaw House up to the present day. Members then had the opportunity to tour the house with audio guides  and  view the sculptures in the grounds as the sun finally came out.
